G.Gage headshot (darker)Gabriella Gage is a writer, editor, and journalist from Somerville, Mass. She is a 2019 James Merrill House Writer-in-Residence and Fellow, and is a graduate of Harvard and McGill Universities.

Her work has been featured by The Los Angeles Review of Books, The Boston Globe, Ploughshares, The Globe and Mail, Newsweek, Longreads, Longform, Truly*Adventurous, Politico.com, Medium, MuckRock, Elle Decor Italia, and she is the former editor-in-chief of Scout Magazines.

A 2018-2019 fellow at the Writers’ Room of Boston, Gabriella has received grants from Vermont Studio Center, the Somerville Arts Council (2021 and 2014), and the Radcliffe Institute for Advanced Study’s Carol K. Pforzheimer FellowshipShe was a finalist for the 2018-2019 Oxford American Jeff Baskin Fellowship.

As a historical consultant, her research has been utilized in multiple MIT and Harvard University publications, mainstream works of nonfiction, academic texts, the historical novels of New York Times bestselling author Matthew Pearl, and Greta Gerwig’s 2019 film “Little Women.”
