
Gabriella Gage is a writer and journalist from Somerville, Mass. She is a 2019 James Merrill House Fellow and a graduate of Harvard and McGill Universities.
She is a contributor to Boston Magazine and her work has been featured in The Los Angeles Review of Books, The Boston Globe, Ploughshares, The Globe and Mail, Newsweek, Longreads, Longform, Truly*Adventurous, Politico.com, MuckRock, Elle Decor Italia. She is the former editor-in-chief of Scout Magazines.
A 2018-2019 fellow at the Writers’ Room of Boston, Gabriella has received grants from Vermont Studio Center, the Somerville Arts Council (2021 and 2014), and the Radcliffe Institute for Advanced Study’s Carol K. Pforzheimer Fellowship. She was named a finalist for the 2022 Edith Wharton Residency and for the 2018-2019 Oxford American Jeff Baskin Fellowship.
As a historical consultant, her research has been utilized in multiple MIT and Harvard University publications, mainstream works of nonfiction, academic texts, documentary shorts, the historical novels of New York Times bestselling author Matthew Pearl, and Greta Gerwig’s 2019 film “Little Women.”
